Mini-BiographyHercules' story follows a young boy finding his place in the world, and the maturity he acquires throughout his journey.
As a child, Hercules was awkward and had trouble fitting in with the surrounding community. Unbeknownst to Hercules, he was the child of Zeus and Hera, but had his immortality almost entirely taken from him. As a result, he was much stronger than the average teenager but ungodily, making him a social outcast. When trying to catch and return a frisbee to a group of fellow teend playing in the market, Hercules clumsily knocks the heavy pillars of the market over, collapsing the entire structure. When his adoptive parents relay that Hercules was found with the symbol of the gods on his neck, he becomes desperate to find a place where he belonges. After an informative visit from Zeus, Hercules is determined to become a true hero to reposess his position amoung the gods. He seeks out hero trainer Philocetetes (Phil for short), who turns out to be much less obliging than Hercules had planned. Eventually, Hercules perserveres and convinces Phil to help, and they set out on a string of awkward training sessions. He struggles quite a bit at first as a hero, but later becomes confident (and a bit cocky) in his heroic abilities. However, a true test of his strength, character, and love is provided not by a monster, but yet another god, Hades. This challenge pushes Hercules to his breaking point (literally) and helps him realize that heroism is not about fans and endorsements, but about doing whatever you can to help those you care about.
