So who else fell in love with this movie after 5 seconds (pun intended) ? OMG this movie is amazing! It's so cute, it's so sad, it's so breathtaking. Not to mention the animation in it is just amazing! I can't believe how nice everything looks! It's like each scene is just a painting after painting, with anime characters on it! It's a very slow story, but ohh it's a good one. Not going to say it;s deep or anything, but still it's pretty cool. The movie is broken into 3 "parts", and I found the last one to be the weakest of the three, but still very nice. The music was amazing too, I enjoyed the original song created for this, and the older song "One More Time, One More Chance" by Masayoshi Yamazaki. I thought the song fit perfectly, very nice!
I really recomend this movie! As long as you can watch slower paced stuff though. If you an action-head, pass on this. NOTHING really happens, yet it's still amazing. It's a love story, about drifting apart, and so there is no action, and even little talking and it's just everyday life desplayed in such a beautiful way. It's a sad little movie that makes you think about the past, I know I did! I can totally relate to the whole thing of drifting apart from people, especially people you love. It made me think of someone who used to be very close to me, but due to society, and ourselves we drifted apart, and now have nothing to do with each-other. Kinda like what happens in this story, hehe
Also subtitles would totally kill this film, sense it's so amazingly beautiful how could you put words under it in yellow, green, white, or worse fansub fonts/colors! That kills the atmposhere completely! That's alright though, sense ADV gave us one of their best dubs of all time on this movie!
(I Got ADV's DVD of this awhile back [in FYE] when I heard it was going OOP. I was lucky to snag this up, as now copies of it are going for a lot on ebay and amazon. Bandai Ent is rumored to have picked this up for a re-release though, so we will see what happens.)
