alrighty then. lol, since i actually do quite a bit of reading, i have found that alchemy is possible. and there have been records of activity that i (and a handful of scientists) believe to be alchemy.
I hope to find PROOF that alchemy exists because alchemy is freakin schweet!!!!

alchemy would be nice,
but do you mean the alchemy portrayed in Fullmetal Alchemist?
I believe if we had that, the world would be a murderous place, full of people taking advantage of things, people trying human transmutation, and criminals [or homunculi] roaming free, attempting to forge a philosophers stone.
the world would be a crazy place.

Alchemy, was once, though died out, religion of a sort. I type of beleife system, where the "Philosiphers Stone" played a key role. Many beleifs were had by the alchemists, the thought of actually "transmutating" objects of different making into gold, actually was not one of them.(hard to beleive, i know). But according to The Hermetic Museum and author Alexander Roob, its quite beleivable. There were many aspects to the beliefs of alchemy, much like there are many types of "christianity" beleifs.( i.e. Islam, Judaism, Christianity, all believe in "God", but in different ways of practice). The aspects, according to the book, range from topics like "the wheel of life" to "the Fall of Adam".
However, i will only state a fact from the book about Alchemy, as it relates to the current discussion and FMA.lol.
Gold, as it pertains to alchemy, has been mistaken to mean that Alchemist practiced to form such a metal, this is untrue. The gold that true Alchemists speak of, is the purity of having a "Golden" Heart. They wish to acheive this throught there lifetime.

And yes, from what I've read, Alchemy was both a science, and a type of "mystic" working....though i dont want to call it Pagan. Involving Sacred Geometry and such....even Sephiroth(not that of FFVII, though Sephiroth was an evil being according to the alchemist, and was the reason that the "pure" light was scattered around the world into everyone's soul, thus giving everyone a piece of goodness, but losing power for being dispersed. The purpose being, everyone working together generates for "light"-ness,lol.).
Everyone interested in the concept of Alchemy should pick this book up...it was only like $12. Probably so cheap because it was more written like a "text" book....and yes...its hard to read...just like a text book. ugh. All "knowledge"...no funnies.
