Summary
Years before this story takes place, Earth became overpopulated and some people tried to colonize Mars. The colonists discovered some alien technologies, Bacillus and the Crusnik nanomachines, and tried using them. Bacillus was infused into the colonists' bodies, which turned them into Methuselahs (vampires). They tried putting the Crusnik nanomachines into some bodies, but only 4 survived: Abel, Cain, Seth, and Lilith. When these 4 grew older, they became Crusniks: vampire fighting units that feed on regular vampires rather than humans. When the colonists tried returning to Earth, a war broke out that caused the Armageddon 900 years before Trinity Blood takes place. Lilith, who alone sided with the humans, was killed. Abel cried for her for 900 years at the Vatican.
Now, in the time of Trinity Blood, the Methuselas are still waging war against the humans, which they call Terrans. Both the Methuselas and the Roman Catholic Church are major military powers in the war. The story follows Sister Esther and Father Abel Nightroad. Esther followed Nightroad to the Vatican after she was betrayed by her childhood friend and the place where she stayed was destroyed by the Methuselas. She tries as best she can to stay alive and help all she comes across, but it's difficult knowing you could be hunted and killed at any moment. Father Nightroad, one of the last Crusniks, helps the Vatican in defending the Earth from the Methuselas with the help of some Terran loving Methusela leaders and some wacky criminals, such as the young Prince Ion. Abandoned by his advisor friend and having taken a liking to Sister Esther, he's on his own or in with the good guys. How does the war play out? Will the Methuselas have their superior reign and destroy the planet or will the humans come out victorious?? Watch the anime and find out!

This anime and manga series is good for those with a love for romance, action, mystery, and good old vampire stories! Not to mention it's easy to think of the characters as real live people as you progress through the story, and the art is just amazing.
