I love Trigun. It's one of my favorite out of two anime.
It's a very well written story line and has it's funny and sad moments. The characters are awesome and I love how the anime has it's theme. It's reference to the bible is probably what makes it so awesome (I say that with me not even being a Christan). It's just got a really good story line and you'd probably not understand it's connection unless you understood the theme itself.

Trigun is not normal. Do you know any priests(Wolfwood) who carries guns and shoot people? How is that normal? In fact, theres no such thing as a normal Anime. All Anime is weird. You never know what is gonna happen in an Anime. Lets use Prince of Tennis as an example. You would think it's just a normal sports Anime, but it's not. They do all kinds of crazy things that you wouldn't even see on a real tennis court. O_o;

BTW, I don't consider Lucky Star a comedy because I didn't hardly laugh at all. It's just a boring slice-of-life Anime about otaku and school life. Anyways, I never compared it to FLCL. I was just saying that they are both overrated. Also, FLCL didn't make me laugh either. Say all you want about how great it is, you can't change my mind, and I know I'm not the only one. As for Trigun, I know not everyone will like it either, because everyone has different tastes and opinions. Just please don't call it normal, or any other Anime series normal. o_o;

Yeah but FLCL is a sureal show. It's all crazy, the entire thing has you wondering what is going on. Trigun is a normal action show, with something added that makes no sense. It would be better without that.

Vash being a plant, is like saying at the end of Cowboy Bebop, Spike is a lizard, and starts eating flies. Then Faye drops her gun and ribbits, because she was really a frog!! Like why would they add that? Why the hell would he be lizard? What the hell does that have to do with the show? Naota has robots coming out of his head for a real reason. Sure it;s a little crazy, but the entire show is like that, and it is for the plot. Same thing with Vash being a plant. Why is he a plant? What does that have to do with the show? What does that even mean?



You can't even compare Lucky Star to FLCL. Lucky Star is just a comedy, FLCL is in a genre of it's own. Comedies you watch and say "ah that's funny", and don't think too much about, but FLCL you watch hundredsof times, and continue to see how amazingly brilliant it is. There are so many layers to FLCL, you will never figure it all out, and everything means at least 4 or 5 things. It never stops amazing me. A comedy you just watch the laugh... You can't even compare FLCL to Lucky Star...

Eh but now I'm way off topic. I don't mean to make fun of a show in it's topic though...I mean hey Trigun was an ok anime. It wasn't bad at all, just overated. Vash was a cool guy, and those two girls where cool, and it was funny how they kept meeting up with him, wherever he went.

I still don't get whats so great about FLCL. It's not the best ever made. It's the most overrated ever made, after Lucky Star(God, I just hope you don't think Lucky Star is good).

Naota(or whatever his name is) from FLCL has things grow out/come out of his head. How is that a little "wtf?" That's a "WTF?!" to the EXTREME.

FLCL is the best anime ever made Bl!, and Paranoia Agent and Serial Experiments Lain are listed up there with the other classics. I'm not making this stuff up. I can't figure out why Trigun belongs on that list though? I mean the list is like Akira,Studio Ghibli stuff, Kare Kano,Revolutionary Girl Utena, Perfect Blue (and other Kon's movies/Tv series), Gundam Seed, Dirty Pair, Mezzo Forte (and Kite), Dragon Half, Now and Then, and Trigun? Like really, I feel like playing that game "what one doesn't belong?" . Trigun sticks out like a sore thumb.

Don't get me wrong though, I did enjoy Trigun, but a masterpeice?

I'm sorry Mike but I disagree. It's pretty much on the same level as Cowboy Bebop and it really is a classic. Both Paranoia Agent and Serial Experiments Lain do not compare to the GREATNESS of Bebop or Trigun, ugh. Same with FLCL(the most overrated series after Lucky Star). I can't say much about Evangelion because I've only seen a few episodes and I haven't seen Ninja Scroll or Blood The Last Vampire. As for your spoiler, most of the anime you listed have WTF moments too. >_> I rated Trigun Very Good. It was one of my very first Anime series before going to fan subs, so yes, I saw it dubbed, on Adult Swim.

I would rate it "good". It's an ok anime, kind of interesting, but nothing special. DOES NOT diserve the praise it gets. I don't understand why people put this up there with NGE, Paranoia Agent, Ninja Scroll, Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, Blood The Last Vampire, Serial Experiments Lain and the like. Those anime are classics, masterpeices in their genres. Trigun is a normal anime, that does not exell above the ranks.

I would rank this up there with Jubei Chan. Anime that everyone hyped, everyone seems to love, but I can't for the life of me find out why. Also both are horribly written, and the direction could have been better in Trigun. Also both Trigun and Jubei Chan seem to be fighting between their "action" and "comedy" aspects. They don't compliment each other, but rather hurt their shows. It makes the show fall apart at the seems.

However it does win anime's WTF moment, of 1998. I mean really WTF Vash is a plant? Stop doing drugs please!!! This doesn't make sense!

Trigun is my favorite anime ever. I just love Nightow's style, which is why i like Gungrave so much as well. I really can't put in words how much I love this show.
