21. "The Truth About Naraku's Origin"
The episode starts out with Shippou running away from the demon wolves. In order to evade these creatures, he throws some leaves and makes each look like himself. The wolves attack them instead of him as he goes up to the tree that Inuyasha tried to plug the hole with, and he tries to slide down it. On the way down, poor shippou takes a branch between the legs and is rendered unconcious. The jewel falls to the ground inside the well. Meanwhile in the present time, Kagome senses the jewel, but thinks she's going crazy, so she goes to the date with Hojo. Back in the past, Inuyasa is getting his butt kicked. In the present, Kagome is spacing out on her date, and Hojo assumes that she's in pain because of her back. Kagome thinks it is otherwise, and falls over in shock when he replies on her back. Worried over Inuyasha, she runs back to the well where she sensed the shard and begins to dig for it. When she does find the actual jewel, or at least what she had of it before Inuyasha took it away from her, she is sent back into the past and is immediately hugged by Shippou, AND spotted by the wolves. (is it just me, or do wolves and other dog like creatures just love to attack her?) Immediately, Inuyasha picks up Kagome's scent and yells, "Kagome's scent! I'd know it anywhere!" He then runs for her. The big demon wolf thing he's fighting tries to stop him by saying "you will not get past me" and all he says is "Wanna bet? Iron reever!" He gets past as Moroku yells "At least defeat the monster before you go to her!" Inuyasha pulls the tree out and defeats the large demon by yelling "You need more fiber!" and shoves it down the demon's throat. He slowly floats to the ground staring at Kagome as he does, with the oddest of shocked expressions on his face. At first he yells her that she should have stayed away, but is sent back into shock as she runs to hug him and proclaims "I thought you were dead because you didn't come back for me! I just needed to see you!" He gives another weird shocked look and they get into a small fight. Naraku is looking through the trees and at first thinks Kagome is Kikyou. Kagome senses him, and Inuyasha chases after him. There's a short angry banter between Inu and Naraku before Naraku tries to destroy them all with some dark cloud move. Inuyasha destroys Naraku's shirt and they find out about a spider shaped burn on his back.

And the light blue dragon thingys with souls are around her contuining to put in the soul of womans. Kagome slowly walks up to her and softly says "Is she asleep?". Kagome is still on the tree shouting her head off at InuYasha trying to get InuYasha's attention which still does not work. She Kikyo holds on to InuYasha and InuYasha does too. Then Kikyo looks up and moves forward and kisses InuYasha on the lips. InuYasha becomes unconsious. Kagome is shocked and sad with a terriefed/out of breath face. 24. "Enter Sango the Demon Exterminator"
The episode starts out with Sango, a proffesional demon slayer, was slaying a demon centipede for a nearby village. She threw her Hiratsu and managed to kill it. The villagers were very happy and asked if there was anything they could give her to repay her for her actions. Suddenly a glint of pink caught her eye, "I'll just take this Shikon no Tama shard, if that is ok." Sango returned to her village full of bright faces. She walked to her house just as her father walked out. “Sango your back early, guess that demon you slayed was pretty wimpy.” She nodded her head and pulled something out of her demon slayers outfit pocket. “This jewel shard came from the demon. The village gave it to me for saving them and slaying that demon.” Her father grabbed the jewel shard and smiled. “Good girl. Now go get some rest. Meanwhile Inuyasha is shaking the crap out of one of the villagers telling him to tell them where to find the one who took the shard of the Shikon jewel. So off they go to find Sango. Then the group is sitting around a fire, Kagome sleeping in a sleeping bag behind some bushes. Miroku asks how Inuyasha intends to get hold of the Shikon Jewel shards from Naraku. "Naraku has most of the Jewel shards already. Once he collects the rest of them we'll just beat him and them from him." Shippo frowns. "You get strong everytime you use a jewel shard. He'll be impossible to beat with all those shards." Miroku asks Inuyasha what he will do if he were to take hold of the full Shikon Jewel. Of course Inuyasha says he will become full demon but Miroku frowns. He cautions Inuyasha. "Every time a demon we encounter possesses a shard of the Skin Jewel he does not look as he should. He grows, becomes harsh looking. What is to say that you will not eat Shippo or Kagome after the transformation is completed?" Shippo blinks "Why won't he eat you Miroku?" "Because I shall be long gone from there if he still intends to change". Inuyasha thinks to himself "I'm not like that, all those demons were bad to begin with. I'm not like that" Next Kagome is seen listening as she holds their part of the shikon jewel. All of the slayers are going on a mission in a couple of hours.” Sango smiled to her father and gave him a quick salute. “Yes sir.” She said jokingly and went inside her house. Later, Sango sat on her back porch stroking Kirara’s silky fur. Her little brother Kohaku threw his blade thrower (a long chain with a blade on the end) at logs lined up on the ground. The blade thrower sliced easily threw all the logs and flew back at Kohaku. He caught it and went to sit down next to Sango. “Father said he’s been watching you and that your getting better every day. He even wants you to go on the next mission.” Sango said to the eleven year old before her. Kohaku looked up from Kirara though he still stroked her. “Wow! That’s the first time I’ve ever heard Father praising me.” Sango and Kohaku stood up and Kohaku went back to the yard and pulled out his blade thrower while Sango lined more logs up for Kohaku. He sliced through the logs and looked at Sango. “Sango. I’m a little nervous about this mission.” Sango looked at her little brother and replied, “Kohaku, I’ll let you in on a little secret. You’re not the only one father, me, everyone is scared, too, sometimes. Then Sango and several other demon exterminators are seen, at night at a large palace. They are told that a large spider demon haunts them. Suddenly the spider demon attacks the village. The exterminators spread out and attacked from all sides. Kohaku stayed frozen to the spot. Sango runs to him and says, “Just stay with me. I will protect you.” They stayed together until the other exterminators locked down the 12 eyed, 8 legged spider demon. Sango ran over and threw her Hirotsu. It ran along it’s back and broke every bone in the back and flew back at her. The spider trembled and flipped back and forth then died. Suddenly Sango and Kohuaku’s father yelled and collapsed as the blade thrower stuck in his back. Kohaku pulled it out staring at Sango and raised his blade thrower up. Suddenly he threw it at her and she dodged it. “Kohaku it’s me!” she yelled. “Kohaku it’s me, its Sango. STOP!” Sango saw a spider web string from Kohaku’s back and followed it to the source. Kohaku ran toward her and threw the blade thrower and hit her in the back. The villagers shot arrows at them. Three hit Kohaku in the back and two hit Sango in the back, right by the blade thrower. Suddenly the Lord of the house kills the man who pulled the string and killed the demon controlling him. (It is later found out that the lord is Naraku and that the man he kills is one of his fake "dummies," for lack of a better word) Kohaku crawled to Sango and mumbled, “Sango what have I done?” She hugged him and he died right in her arms. She fainted right after that. Inuyasha and his group suddenly see a large mass of demons heading towards the village. They run after them. A large battle scene is shown with the villagers attacking the demons and Naraku runs into the village to the Shikon jewel shards. He absorbs the demons around him and disappears. The group arrive at the village, Kagome senses no Jewel shards and they decide to give the villagers a proper burial. Then Kirara turns the corner, in her transformed state, and low and behold who do you think pops up but Inuyasha's little blood sucking friend, the flea. So after a quick discussion they bury the villagers. Naraku (who's pretending to be the master of the castle) takes her and cares for her. He then uses more deception against her and tells her sadly that her village was attacked by youkai and everyone was killed. Furious and nearly dead from pain, Sango asks who the person who did this was and he tells her, "The hanyou, Inuyasha". Drived by her hatred for Inuyasha, she heads back to her village with Naraku's servant and nearly dies from the pain of trying to fulfill her last mission: kill Inuyasha. Baboon Naraku offers her a Shikon shard and tells her that he'll lend it to her so she can kill Inuyasha. She takes it and wears it in her back thus removing her pain. She's still bleeding heavily, but she can no longer feel pain.

25. "Naraku's Insidious Plot"
It starts out with Sango journeying with Naraku to return to her village and gain revenge on Inuyasha for destroying her village. She has a flash back of the Lord of the house telling her that they should return to his palace after they have defeated Inuyasha. Then Naraku decides that he should give her a shard of the Shikon Jewel to supress the pain from her wounds. Meanwhile Inuyasha and the gang are talking to Myoga about the villagers inhabitants. They discover that the village was attacked by demons as soon as their most powerful warriors were away from the village and had no chance to defend themselves. So they decide to try and find the castle where they journeyed to to speak to the exterminators. During their journey the large boomerang comes flying at them through the forest. The run out and find Sango standing there. Naraku stands behind her. She tells Inuyasha how he shall pay for destroying her village. Miyoga informs them that Sango is one of the most powerful exterminators in the land and that Inuyasha should not fight her. Inuyasha, (being his egotistical self) attackes her anyway while trying to get at Naraku. But her boomerang proves to be a formidable opponent and begins to push the Tetsaiga back. Then Miroku comes running up to Naraku and attacks him. He swings at him and manages to chop off the arm that holds the sword but strangely the hand goes flying at Kagome, rips off the Shikon jewel shards she carries and connects itself back on Naraku's arm. Inuyasha, becoming distracted by Naraku's taking of their shards tries to attack him but Sango attacks him again and tells him that his fight is with her not Naraku. So Naraku goes flying off in the air telling Sango that he trusts she can kill Inuyasha before returning to the castle. Miroku runs after him and Sango frowns, she tells Kilala to go after him and if he does anything strange, to kill him. So Kilala transforms and goes running off. Miroku, having chased naraku already stops as he reaeches a gap in the rocks but Kilala runs up and he jumps on her back as she flies in the air after Naraku and attacks him. Meanwhile Sango has trown poison powder at Inuyasha as her boomerang is deflected and Inuyasha cuts off her mask. Then he pulls her from the powder and she falls to the ground after losing alot of blood that she could not feel for having the Shikon Jewel shard in her back. Kagome runs up and then she faints to the gorund. So, Naraku has dropped back to the ground and Inuyasha is carrying Kagome and Sango on his back as he chases after them. So Miroku is being attacked after Kilala and him fall to the ground. So Inuyasha comes up as Kagome and Sango stay back. Inuyasha confronts Naraku about lying to Sango and how he actually told the demons that their top exterminators were away and to attack them, when he was after their jewel shards. Sango attempts to throw her boomerang at him but she collapses (again) and Naraku takes back the jewel shard. Inuyasha then jumps up and chops off Naraku's head. But the body keeps moving and suddenly the head continues to talk. Sango suddenly notices how it is not really Naraku himself but a puppet and to attack the heart. So Inuyasha jumps up and chops the body in half and it turns to dust. So seeing, a wooden piece fall to the ground beside their jewel shard Miroku picks it up. He explains how the hair wrapped around it is Naraku's and that helps him control it. Suddenly they show a copy of the wood golem cut through and break. The Lord of that palace is shown and he stands. "This body and place will hide my true identity until I can gain possesssion of the entire Shikon Jewel" He walks to the door, slides it shut and transforms into a baboon costume.

26. "Secret of the Jewel of Four Souls Revealed"
Putting down the pieces of rubble that he was carrying, Inuyasha complained about Sango in bed, healing for nine days already. He said he would be up in three. Miroku said he would not be up in months. Inuyasha muttered about disturbing Sango and Miroku threw a piece of wood at him. Meanwhile, Kagome discovered that Sango was gone from her bed. Then she saw that the demon exterminator was kneeling in front of the graves Inuyasha and the rest had worked on to bury the dead. Sango held a yellow flower while telling Kagome how grateful she was that they marked the graves. She said for Kagome to call her friends over to listen to the story behind the Shikon no Tama, the Shikon Jewel. Carrying Sango on his back, Inuyasha stepped forward towards the opening of the cave after blowing Myoga off Sango's sleeve. He asked Sango to lower the barrier he had tried to get through earlier. Sango said that at the beginning, the people of her village also thought that it was some kind of spell that the demons left behind. But they found that it was the soul of the woman blocking their way. She was filled with sadness. But she would let you through if you had sympathy. Inuyasha stepped through the barrier, followed by Kagome and Miroku. When Myoga jumped, calling out enter Myoga, he got shut out. Inside, at the end of the cave, they found a scene in rock. The tableau was ancient. It was of a huge demon and in the center, a woman. Sango told the story of this formation and the origin of the Jewel of the Four Souls. War tore the country. Demons devoured the dead and the near dead. But one priestess by the name of Midoriko was able to purify the soul. She reached within the demons in order to purify their souls and render them harmless. It was here that she fought with the huge demon. The huge demon was a combination of many smaller demons. They united in hopes of destroying Midoriko. They fought for seven days and seven nights, until at last, the demon had the priestess in its jaws. This time, Midoriko reached deep within herself and grabbed the demon's soul. But that forced out her own soul, through the hole in her chest that could be now seen. She could no longer purify the demon soul, only able to capture and imprison. Both their souls are in the Shikon Jewel, still in battle. Inuyasha thought it weird for someone to battle demons by purifying their souls. He preferred fighting with a weapon. Miroku in turn explained the Shikon no Tama. The Four Souls are aramitama, megimetama, kushimetama, and sakimetama. Aramitama was courage, megimetama was friendship, kushimetama was wisdom and sakimetama was love. He teased Inuyasha about going over his head with this deep stuff. But when Inuyasha said that he wanted the Jewel for himself in order to become a full fledged demon, the spirit of the priestess Midoriko, who was considered the most powerful priestess in that era, threw him out of the cave. Sango continued the story inside the house, with Inuyasha lying on the roof. The Shikon Jewel went through the hands of many humans and demons. Sango's grandfather slayed a demon who had the Jewel, but as a price, her grandfather and many many others died. Then, the Jewel was fouled with evil. That was when they gave it into the keepings of a young priestess with extraordinary powers, Kikyo. At night, Kirara sneaked into the cave with the Shikon jewel on her neck and Myoga on her back. Myoga bundled the Jewel shards and began his climb up the stone scene towards Midoriko's chest, where the Jewel came out. But he dropped it and woke the spirit of the demon. It rose up. Kirara transformed and fought it. But she was caught. Myoga saw the spirit of the priestess also rise and wound the demon spirit with a swipe of her sword. But just as she landed, her form turned into Inuyasha's. Inuyasha had heard the commotion. Searching through Kirara's fur, Inuyasha found Myoga. Myoga lied that it was Kirara who took him and the jewel shards into the cave and that he was asleep. A growl from Kirara proved it false. Inuyasha said that he did not know why he bothered to save Myoga at all. But the flea demon insisted that it was Midoriko who saved him. Kirara looked at Midoriko with a familiar look, then curled up at the foot of the priestess's form and slept. Kagome and Miroku did further research on the priestess Midoriko and found that it was impossible for anyone to be capable of such a feat no matter how strong their spiritual powers are. She must have had help. From a demon pet, which turns out to be Kirara.

Miroku said it would be a first and Sango gets pissed. Miroku and Sango arrive with the water goddess as Inuyasha is dragged underwater. The water goddess parts the waters and helps Inuyasha. The fake water god starts to summon a twister and the water goddess says she needs her trident to stop it. Inuyasha grabs the trident and throws it. But the serpent hits it with its tail and it falls in the water. The headmans son jumps in after it. After some struggle, Inuyasha cuts the snake in half and Miroku uses his wind tunnel to suck the snake in. The water goddess uses her trident to become big again and stops the twister. She notices that there are traps set everywhere. When Inuyasha slashes another house with his sword, a boy jumps out. Sango recognizes that the boy is her brother Kohaku. Kilala also recognizes him. She follows him through a spirit shield. Naraku comes into the scene. He tells Sango that he saved Kohaku, but it was the shikon Jewel that is keeping him alive. If the jewel is taken from him, then he will die. Naraku tells sango that if she wants Kohaku to stay alive, she has to bring the tetsusaiga from Inuyasha. Sango walks back to Kagome and the rest.
