Products Dear visitor, Unfortunately as some of you already know, it is not possible to buy any new Candy Candy movies, episodes or other original merchandize. The reason for this is due a copyright issue between the creators of the Candy Candy manga, the original author and the drawing artist, which ultimately resulted in a trial. This led directly to the companies Kodansha and Toei Animation's decision not to re-publish Candy Candy ever again. A devoted Candy Candy fan on the Planet Zot Forums wrote a while back a long post with a more in depth explanation of the technical reasons regarding the dispute between the two creators of Candy Candy. You can view it here. I have also personally contacted both AnimeNation and Amazon.com which both confirmed that they cannot get any Candy Candy related materials for sale. The only way to get them is through second hand-shops or internet auctions like ebay or similar, but be aware that most of the Candy Candy products on the internet are bootleg and not official merchandize, and therefore often of poorer quality. I'm very sorry for this, I keep receiving lots of e-mails from frustrated fans who can't find any episodes or other products for sale, so if it's a comfort you are definitely not alone. I remember watching this show my self when I was a child and I too find it sad that it's not possible to buy it.
